Choosing the Perfect Hair Care Routine for Your Wig or Extensions
Raw hair extensions and wigs have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. They offer a natural look and feel, and can be styled just like your own hair. However, to keep them looking their best, proper maintenance is key. In this blog, we'll share our top tips on how to maintain raw hair extensions and wigs, including how to properly clean lace fronts.

Maintenance Tips for Raw Hair Extensions:
Wash with care: Wash your raw hair extensions with a gentle shampoo, working from the ends up to the roots. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the hair.
Condition regularly: Use a deep conditioning treatment once every two weeks to keep your extensions moisturized and soft.
Avoid tangling: Use a detangling brush, or as we recommend, a wide-tooth comb to gently work out any tangles or knots.
Trim regularly: Trim your extensions every 6-8 weeks to prevent split ends and breakage.
Maintenance Tips for Wigs:
Wash with care: Wash your wig with a gentle shampoo, working from the ends up to the roots. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive use of heat styling tools, as they can damage the hair.
To remove excess glue from lace: Apply a small amount of lace glue/adhesive remover (but shampoo works fine too!) to the lace, and place in warm water. Allow lace to sit for 10 minutes before peeling off the lace glue to avoid damaging the knots of the wig.
Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the lace thoroughly with water, working from the center outwards, and watch the adhesives completely peal from your lace.
Allow to air dry: Allow the lace to air dry, to avoid as much heat damage as possible. Use heat protectant while styling.
Additional Tips:
· Use a wide toothed comb to gently style your lace front
· Avoid using heavy styling products, as they can weigh your hair down (undoing all your hard work!)
· Use a lace front adhesive to secure your lace front in place,
